Hyggelig Sweaters for a Cute and Cozy Halloween

It’s almost sweater season!

I was born the day after Halloween. Growing up, this contributed to All Hallow’s Eve being my favorite holiday. A day of candy, costume parties and trick-or treating followed by a day of cake and birthday gifts? Essentially a child’s nirvana. As an adult, I still have a soft spot for the holiday and look forward to dressing up in costume, handing out candy and watching every Halloween special Food Network has to offer. Oh – and watching “Hocus Pocus” at least once a week (obviously).

While I know it’s technically still summer, the fashion industry waits for no one and Halloween-inspired styles have been hitting the (virtual) shelves like crazy over the last few weeks. I wanted to share some of the fun pieces I’ve come across now (even though, I know – it’s still summer) because themed, specialty styles from popular retailers sell out fast and often before anyone is really ready for the upcoming holiday.

Clothing for Hallo-Queens

Every year, Modcloth – a women’s clothing retailer known for its vintage-inspired styles – releases a Halloween collection. This year’s Halloween look-book is especially taunting with styles that are festive and eccentric without being too over-the-top. Although the whole collection is pretty spook-tacular, I’m especially loving their newest sweaters. Then again, I’m also a complete sucker for anything fair isle.

These pieces are all incredibly versatile – appropriate for the office or a night in at home. Or – if you’re like me – two for one if you’re working from home and just need some cute tops for video calls (I see you rocking those unseen sweatpants and gym shorts). These hyggelig pieces caught my eye and are practically screaming to be a part of your apple-picking, pumpkin-carving adventures.

Shop the Modcloth Halloween Collection

These pieces will sell out fast so be sure to nab your sweaters as soon as possible! If the piece you want is already sold out, select your size and click the “I Need It” button on Modcloth’s site. If an item is request by enough people they will bring it back in stock – make sure you create an account so you get the back-in-stock notification!
